Fun “forever” project that I come back to often. I’ve used this project as my “I bet I could make that” playground.
Features:
- Inventory System with upgradable backpack space; system includes storage boxes
- DataTable driven
- Equipment System – 11 body parts supported for visual changes to the character look. Equipment also affects stat changes such as armor, health, etc.
- Survival Crafting system including resource gathering i.e. mining, tree chopping, skinning, etc
- Assassin’s Creed-style bird companion for reconnoitering – this was the inspiration for my Tagging and Tracking System on the UE Marketplace
- Quest System – This is WIP and has moved to a component based Modular Quest System I’m working on separately to sell on the UE Marketplace soonTM
- Once the MQS is complete, I plan to dog food it within Dungeoneer to record tutorials to help purchasers understand how the system is set up.
- Unlockable Portals – Allows players to move around a large map quickly. Once a portal is discovered, it becomes part of a larger network of connected portals the player can use.
- Save/Load System – Saves inventory, storage boxes, player stats, portal status, etc.
- Ghost of Tsushima Fox Shrines – Another “I bet I can make that” feature.
